A Chartered Engineer with a wealth of electrification experience, Barry has spent more than two decades at the heart of the UK’s rail industry.

Starting his career being responsible for the maintenance of electrification plant assets on the West Coast Main Line, he then spent eight years managing major infrastructure projects for Network Rail.

Working across both Scotland and the LNW region, Barry has been involved in many of the nation’s highest profile rail projects, most notably the West Coast Route Modernisation programme, the Liverpool to Manchester Electrification project, the Great Western Electrification Project and the Cardiff Intersection Bridge project.

Passionate about developing innovative ideas that bring about long-term sustainable improvements to the rail industry, in 2012, Barry left Network Rail to found Andromeda. Since then both he and his colleagues have built Andromeda into an award-winning rail design and consultancy business, with an exceptional in-house team of design and engineering consultants.
