Andromeda were instrumental in setting up the collaborative strategic steering group in South Wales, bringing Andromeda and Network Rail Route, IP and STE together to achieve common goals. This led to realising savings in the region of £30m as well as preventing significant disruption to the railway and de-risking the programme.

Andromeda took over a number of Earthing and Bonding designs packages for the Great Western Electrification project, that another contractor had been unable to complete. Against tight timescales they quickly got up to speed and turned them around in a timely manner contributing to the successful delivery and ORR authorisation of the first electric passenger train service to Cardiff.

Excellent course delivered by Andromeda. The design calculation exercise was very well done and can be applied to a wide range of low voltage systems, not just to points heating.
